2. Outraged by the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, a wilderness survival trainer spent years undercover climbing the ranks of right-wing militias.

   He didn’t tell police or the FBI. He didn’t tell family or friends. The one person he told was ProPublica reporter @josh-kaplan.bsky.social.

3. The thing about January 6th that still lingers with me is how quickly and viciously MAGA turned on the Capitol Police. Really hammered home how every alleged principle on the right — in this case, deference to law enforcement — will be quickly abandoned if it conflicts with Trump's interests.

13. Today is January 6th and no one is watching the Capitol be plundered, feces being smeared on the walls, and police officers being stabbed with American flags.

    Why? Because one side believes in democracy no matter what, and the other side only believes in it only when they win.
