Classmates.com sucks!

Classmates.com sucks:

  • $39/year to see content one can get for free on Facebook or MySpace
  • Classmates.com periodically sends email informing one of new content that cannot be seen unless one is a paying customer
  • Classmates.com has so many adds it puts MySpace to shame

  1. The buggers charged my credit card 39.99 a year after I said okay to a 9.99 special. Sorry, Unrefundable was their response.

  2. I had been amember for years. They charged my account the same even though my account was set up for manual renewals. No refund was the response also.

    1. Yes they suck after I paid a one time fee for a life time membership. Then they shut down my account until I renew it at 39.99 a year. Just how can they get away with this crap?

  3. I’m in total agreement. They suck you in and then zapped you with this $39 renewal without any warnings. Though they say the billing was posted but it is not really visible that you’ll notice. They have the audacity to say payment is not refundable. Such unethical tactics should warrant a boycott. I cancelled my membership right away and removed as much information I could from the site. I also notified my credit card company to stop payment on them. Fortunately my credit card company has a lot of complaints about this site already so they are more than happy to refund the money and started a dispute investigation about this classmates.com. The way I look at it, the more people complain about it the sooner it’ll fold. Have they not heard of Facebook?

  4. What’s there to say that hasn’t been said already. Both facebook & myspace offer social networking free of charge. Anyone would have to be a complete idiot to buy into the classmates.com package.
