I’ve replace my homemade WordPress three column theme with F2 – a flexible width three column theme. This site will eventually have all the functionality it had with my old theme via plugins and widgets without all the kludges the previous theme used.

WordPress 2.3
I’ve gone ahead and upgraded to WordPress 2.3. Everything pretty much worked after a few minor changes to this site’s theme.
WordPress 2.1
I’ve gone ahead and upgraded to WordPress 2.1. Everything pretty much worked except the plugin, WP Unformatted. I had to modify WP Unformatted to get it to work with WordPress 2.1. I’ll make these changes available when I’m sure there are no problems.
New Guestbook
Thanks to spammers, I’ve reworked the way my guestbook works. Rather than using my good old CGI guestbook written in Perl, I’ve created a page with WordPress and leveraged the WordPress commenting system to handle guestbook entries. Doing so, automatically adds spam blocking to my guestbook.
Refinement
I’ve made some changes to the look of this site. I hope these changes are valuable addition to your modern lifestyle.
WordPress 2
I’ve gone ahead and upgraded to WordPress 2. Looks like all the WordPress plugins I use work and I’m trying out the new anti-spam plugin that’s included with version 2 (so far it’s working).
Notice anything different?
I’ve finally switched this site to WordPress. Everything is mostly working — I just need to fix the comments template and the right sidebar doesn’t quite look right when viewed with Internet Explorer (why are you using Internet Explorer anyway?).
